Jim Kiffmeyer grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy, later earning his teaching certification from Xavier University. He began his pharmacy career in hospital pharmacy and later moved to retail pharmacy. In addition, Jim had a long teaching career which included teaching pharmacology to nursing students; during that time, he won the Gold Apple Achiever Teacher Award and was a Crystal Apple Teacher Award finalist. He received the 100 Best Pharmacists in Ohio in the “Best of Medicine” Award in 2018. He volunteers at the Cincinnati Zoo and several theaters in Cincinnati, is the Director of Member Services for the Veteran Apothecaries Association of Cincinnati, and in his “spare time”, he enjoys travel, theater, reading, gardening, and walking.
